The Franks decided to stay in Holland instead of fleeing to a safer country. I believe they did this because they had faith in the american soldiers, that'd they get there soon. They thought they could wait it out, but also, they had no idea about to what extent Hitler was going to exceed. In 100 years, they probably wouldn't think he'd go that far as to murder people just because their religion.
Personally, I would have fled because i'd feel safer, and my life is just something i don't want to put at risk. I'd have to be careful, though, because i would need to get away at the perfect time, inconspicuously so the Green Police wouldn't catch me.

I think the Franks decided to stay in holland rather than escaping to another country because since they've lived there for so long, i'd be hard to just leave. Also, they were probably scared to go through getting their belongings, getting past the gestapo and soldiers, and safely getting to an unfamilier place.
If it were me I think i would try to flee the country and go someplace safer, even though the whole time getting there would be scary and hard, i would try.

The Franks decided to say in Holland rather than go to another country. I think they did this because they believed in the soldiers. They believed that the war would end soon. They were optimistic about the war and knew we could win and it would all be normal again. The Franks were very optimistic people. If I were in that position i would've gone to another country. I would be too scared to stay. The Franks had a lot of courage and faith to be able to stay there through those rough conditions!

I can understand why they wanted to stay in Holland, because when you grow up in the same environment your whole life it's hard just to suddenly abandon it. If i were in their situation personally, i would get as far away from Nazi jurisdiction as possible, be it by way of plane, train, automobile, or what not.

I believe the Frank's went into hiding in Holland rather than escape to another country for several reasons. First, they probably did not realize the extent of the Jewish oppression and thought they could "wait it out". Also, their home, friends, and life was in Holland and it would be a totally different change for the Franks. They would have to bring all of their stuff to a new place they knew nothing about. Along with fleeing, it was hard for Jewish people to flee because the Nazis kept a close watch on them. Lastly, they could have predicted that the countries they were thinking about fleeing to, would soon be occupied by the ruthless Nazis.
If I was in the same position as the Franks, I would probably try to flee before it was too late. However, I probably would not take many belongings, but just money to buy new things in the new place. Carrying many belongings would look too suspicious. I would probably be unsure when to flee before it got to late, but that would be a risk I would take to escape the terrible oppression.
